Hey guys how the hell do these windscreen moulds come off without wrecking or bending them? I am losing it big time with these. I checked the tech article and I have pulled the moulds towards the outside of the car and got my fingers underneath(!) but I can't see the clips at all. I don't want to bend the mouldings but they won't pop out. Can anyone tell me the secret to getting these off without breaking them before I completely stuff them up.
    Cheers

Slide towards the rear... Gently or they will bend

and won't go back on... A bit of lubricant sprayed on the underside will help... Must remove the end cap first (nearest to targas)

If you get a 2 inch spatchlor and stick masking tape under it. You unclip the top and slide the spatchelor down the side of the strips and leaver them upwards.

they are held in with clips sliding into a plastic strip stuck onto the side of the A pillar. They should unclip doing this

Recently removed mine with no bends or clip breakages. Lift gently then spray liberally with silicone lubricant-try to get it into the plastic channel that holds the clips. You have to slide the mold upwards first + then pull off the top clips. Once they are off you should be able to see where the other small right angle clips are. There are 4 on each side evenly spaced. Lay something flat on the windscreen to protect it then pry each off upwards. Try not to break them-$10 each!!! They slide into a plastic channel on the Pillar side.
They can be tough little buggers, but if you get close with a flat screwdriver they will pop out. Good luck.

Well I got the pricks off....and bent the drivers side one it was so friggin hard to get off and it broke the clip to boot. The passenger side was really easy in comparison and 3 of the clips popped out at once. I knew 1 would f@ck up! Check wanted section for another mould.

Hi there, I recently did my moulding and I found the windscreen ones easier than I expected. I just popped the top ones out carefully and slide/pulled gently up and out it came.

Yes Simmo if you read this I have been lazy/ only just done them..

I don't care about the black plastic coming offas I'm going to take that off and put heat shrink on. So if anyone has one (Graham) as long as it isn't bent that would be awesome and I'll post pics when it's done against my new red paint!:) How do you get the plastic off anyway? I've started on mine but the plastic that isn't pealing off is really hard to remove. Anyone done theirs? Also does anyone know exactly how the heatshrink goes on and then put the rubber bits back in the channel underneath?
    Any help appreciated.
