Does anyone know where in WA you can get your engine top thing (u know the top of your engine) chromed?
hahahah typical female......... now i sit and await the abuse from the rest of you fem zedders, its called a plenum, and and electroplater should be able to handle the job, but i would reconsider chroming and try polishing it first chroming keeps to much heat in.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....:LOL::LOL::LOL: After how much talk there is about the plenum on this site and the a few threads recently talking about just this... Seriously though what seems to be the general opinion is to polish/paint the plenum and then put a clear coat on it so it holds it's shine :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I suggest "Wheel Gleam" in osborne park, just around the corner For a polish job at least. Polish is better IMO but up to you.
Cool, i'll go there then!!! Hehe, yeah i gotta remember the names of things!!! I am getting better tho
Re: Cool, i'll go there then!!! Hehe, yeah i if i were u id do the plenum kit aswell while your there... plenum pull
Re: Let us know how much they quote for a plenum polish. best mob for polishing is a dude called reflex, or reflecs in henley brook.. hey was half the cheapest price i got quoted and his work is awesome.. he works from home and does all sorts of alloy polishing.. he was around $350 to polish.. if your getting it chrome plated it will need to be polished first anyway ro itsll look pretty crap vinci chroming in malaga are very well renowned (all the bikies go there, they must be good) the will also polish it for you first for around $500 (plus chrome) just note your car will be off the road for over a week and you will have to pull the plenum off and strip off the throttle bodies and the like as these guys are polishers not mechanics, so take the time to do the under plenum hose bypass and get your fuel injectros cleaned while its off (i used the $350 to buy a CP die grinder, sanding disks, polishing buff and a few cartons of beer and did it myself) took 16 hrs
