Black Zed - 1997/NA/manual/slicktop

Hey guys,

With a heavy heart I am putting my Z on the market. Reason for sale is simple, now that I am finished uni and working full time I want to move on to a TT Z32.

The car is in excellent condition as you would expect from a 97 model. The interior in particular is very nice. I recently replaced the shifter and boot with fresh OEM parts from coz. Also recently added gauge rings, side indicators and OEM gauge cluster screen.

The k's are marked as 86XXX, and they appear genuine. Yes, everyone says that but if you inspect the doors/odometer/trim/etc it is definitely believable.

It drives great and is very low maintenance. The car is always garaged, serviced regularly, looked after and basically treated like a princess :zlove:

Obviously being an NA it is P plate legal.

Yer, that's because of the lame carsales database. I was trying to set it up as a 97 but had issues getting the model / options correct...

bit confusing but blame carsales for that one

I saw this Zed in person today, and I would have to say this is the Cleanest Zed I have ever seen! The interior looks almost new, and body and paint are great. What a shine in those last two pics!

This car would be a great investment! and its a 97! wo0t!

Quite a good suggestion re a TT conversion, the NA manual trans will take a TT, you then only need a TT auto that has been bent at the side or the rear and you are in business. not exactly rare at the moment

 

When the body of your 97 looks so clean, swapping the engine to a TT probably does make sense. Taking into account transfer fees buying and selling, etc. YOu could do a TT swap at your leisure...

 

I'd suggest a TT swap as well, so long as OBD2 will not be a big issue.

Had a great time yesterday, haven't had a chance to post up my pics yet haven't been feeling too well. I dunno what they put in that steak sandwich i had but it didnt go down too well!!

Hm you know I think i will look more seriously at a TT conversion, i do heart this car :zlove: :zlove:

 

97 model is really hard to find, a slicktop is really hard to find too. If you sell it, youve lost what others would love to have...i know i would. And even if you do get the money you are asking for it...You still lost. You would risk buying a TT that will bring you problems a the need to have deep pockets.
Dont sell it man, just do a TT conversion if you want a TT so much, or if youre brave just twinturbo the NA. Not a wise choice to sell it.

 

gotta agree with everyone. and possibly the tidiest Z i've seen.

with a TT conversion... and slicktop... well you couldn't ask for more in a Z.

though if you do end up selling, i'd highly recommend you buy mine

Not sure whether its peer pressure or what but i think you guys could be right. It is pretty hard to get a late model z, i have been asking around a few importers and a 95+ TT (stock) will set you back $20k pretty easily.

So back to plan B. Spend the money on rims/brazillian/2k lights/etc and save up for a TT conversion later on..

(btw - if you are in the market for a TT Z, take a look at J4Play's car. I went out to see it recently and it is a beast! Lots of money has gone into that engine bay...)

 

noo dont go brazillian! get a wing! too many people go brazillian. anyway tidy zed and if you sold it i would hunt you down, rape you then kill you. TT conversion for the win, slicktop TT with na diff *licks lips*
