    Hi all,
the other night, my friend told me that the right side rear lights on my car were out. I checked and they weren't working, so changed the bulbs. Still wasn't working.

So came on here to have a look at what people had said and came across the information about the black box in the driver side well.
So I tried a bypass of it because my soldering skills suck :p. I was using the info from this link: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=290285 which I found really helpful.
So I've basically bypassed it all, had the 3 pairs connected and the lights were working again! But now I'm having another issue, it seems that every time I press the brake, my lights (inside the car), but not the headlights, turn on! Have I done something wrong to get this result?

Basically just made a cable run between LH Tail Pair terminals, RH Tail pair terminals and Stop Pair terminals. When I plugged in the fourth one (which the link says you don't have to worry about), I found that it just made the 'Light' warning stay on the dash constantly. Can anyone help? How can I get it to stop from lighting up inside the car when I brake? :(

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

Sure you made individual jumpers for each function?
Sounds to me like you have connected tail and stop pairs together rathert than just tail to tail, stop to stop and blah.

Yeah, assuming that it's basically 1-1, 2-2 and 4-4? I'll check the connectors again...
It's hard to tell, because theres another thread which is talking about making a link between the yellow wires...there are 3 of them in my car!
