I know these threads get made a lot. but shops change management and new shops pop up so old threads might be outdated. To put it bluntly. I dont like taking my z to mechanics. ive had enough people **** up shit on my Z, treat it like shit, scratch paint and one guy even drive it straight into a concrete stopper in a carpark when I had the old stillen bar on... But rant aside. I eventually want to get nistuned on a dyno, but no point doing that if I still have a slight idle problem or a misfire. So, id like to take it to someone who Really knows what they are doing. Someone who can time an engine just by listening to the sound, can sense problems by using nothing but his sense of smell and even taste... Im talking about a Z Guru. . The kind of Z specialist I would need to trek through the hills of tibet to find because of his own quest to discover pure Zen enlightenment. If I can find that guy who can tune my z to within an inch of its life then ill take the next step and get a proper tune probably at chequered tuning. Unless there is a shop who can do both? Im sure by now you guys must know how anal I can get with my Z. who is out there that I should take it to for a proper look over and diagnostic? Waynoz
I will probably go to CT for the dyno tune, but they wouldn't suss out other small mechanical issues would they?
Trent will give you a good idea of what's going on, he's tuned zeds and countless other cars, he knows what he's doing.
