Im searching for a reputable paint shop in Sydney for minor paint repair / cosmetic touch ups. Is their a place in Sydney (prefer west) that has built a reputation amongst Z forum members? Perhaps a detail shop, a smash repairer or even a paint shop? Has any1 had a really good experience with such a work shop? The work i need done basically involves stone chip repair (fill in), scratch removal, cut, polish and wax, (might aswell do it while in its in there). Does any1 know what the method is a good repairer should use? I been quoted $450 to fill in numerous chips, imperfections,etc inc a metal deep scratch on the bonnet + with the cut, polish, waz / buff inc @ 'Rod Bowens Prestige Smash Repairs' in blacktown. He is basically going to work his way around the car filling in and buffing back b4 detailing the paint.His work is guaranteed and he used by major insurance companies. Does this price sound right to forum members and is their a shop any1 would highly recommend? Also what do you guys n grlz use to preserve the black external trim on your Z'ds? I prefer not to use Armour all and would prefer something non oil based.Its in very good shape & i would like to keep it that way. Cheers for any advice guys Dean
Moderators pls close / delete this thread. The advice and help on this was overwhelming. As it turned out I'll never go to a crash repairer again to do this kind of work, lesson learned the hard way. Custom paint shops for me. Ill be sure to warn other members of my experience should the Q'n arise, might save a forum member a few hundred dollars or more.
