Never noticed this bent arm before. 1. What is this bent arm called, traction rod? I need to find a new one but need to know it's name first. 2. Are these the same on all models, mine is non-turbo 2 seater what other models have the same size member? 3. Judging by the amount of bentness (new word) how much could this be effecting the settings and ride, I imagine it will effect toe dramatically?
It's the rear lower control arm, and yes, it would affect the wheel alignment somewhat. Stop using your car for off-road outings.:zlove: P.S. I sincerely hope you don't poke your head under the car with that car stand located in that position(3rd pic).
Yeah the stand was a bit precarious but the jack was still under the car, then we moved the stands. As for the off road comment I have no idea how this could have happened I've never seen it before. I would guess either a toe truck driver has strapped a chain around it or someone backed it into something, not me I can tell you that for sure.
its the rear N/A toe arm .not lower control arm replace with a second hand one or after market one this one is from tuneagent
Sorry to disagree, but it is the Rear Lower Link(not the Toe Arm). The Toe Arms are ahead of(and above)the drive shafts. This is behind and below the drive shafts.:zlove::zlove:
have to disagree back at you .. its the N/A rear toe arm /rod/link On a TT its where the hicas runs inner tie rods and ball joint the traction arms /rod /link is ahead of driveshaft. it is confusing ..especially after news eve..
It's just one of those things that make NA's "special", bit like riding to school in the little bus
