hey guys, in the process of upgrading my race zed to E85, part of the deal is changing to some decent sized injectors alot has happened since i last was playing with zeds and i see there is not several off the shelf options for top feed fuel rails (OMG where did that come from) shit i only dreamed of 5 years ago) i was leaning towards the Brett Dempsey kit, has anyone had any experience with these? theres also the WIN rail.. but the BDE one looks cooler. its double dash 6, the win is -8.. so thats approximately the same size/volume
I have experience with neither but I really dont think you can top BDE's gear. its almost a work of art
If that picture was any bigger it would have blown my phone to pieces when i opened the page The winfactory looks a little more throttle cover friendly in regards to height. Dunno about the others.
haha yeah ive been trying to find a smaller picture.. the BBode doesnt seem to work on resizing on this forum its an all out race car so im not worried about the throttle cover
they are both cool kits. I chose the winfactory because its simpler, more compact and single fuel line and drops right in . BDE requires to machine/modify the lower plenum which he supplies and sits higher .. both will do same job although winfactory is cheaper. matter of preference and money
I was just about to post the same...the BDE rails would also need the balance tube & upper plenum modified aswell... Other than the make & style...any differences or benefits between the winfactory or bde rails? Rob did you have any issues with your winfactory rails? Been doing a bit of research & there seems to have been a few issues with them Abraham
Yeah, upper plenum mods are basic grinding of bosses I'm changing my idle circuit all together so ill be ditching the balance pipe There's a $100 credit on the bde system for removing the balance pipe mods.. Makes it cheaper than the wins I think Thanks for the info guys. Bde it is I'll be running Bosch injectors. Lot cheaper then id. Should suit my purpose
no probs the only issues I know of were the injectors when the kit first came out ..they have changed them and also offer injector dynamics which I have.
What injectors were they having issues with? I'm getting the kit with no injectors and picking Bosch ones up locally
Rob from what ive read so far there was more issues than just the injectors... Have a read of this thread...has some links to a few issues with the winfactory rails http://forums.nicoclub.com/e85-t533732.html
Interesting but I see opinions not any failures? and some wrong information about the injector sitting higher with the adaptor .. because it replaces the old rail . this is how my top feeds sit .. cant get better than that (series 2)
This guy http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300...ing-the-bend-with-this-fuel-rail-install.html had loads of trouble but that was 3 years ago, production mat be better now. Only thing I don't like a out Brett's kit is those wooden pieces. Timber has no place in an engine bay...
that's just the nickel plating on the thread . funny thing is I have one of the first batches made on pre order .. seals perfectly.
Does anybody know if there has been any issues at all with the BDE kit? Looks like i might have to get my series 2 upper & lower plenum send to them along with the balance tube to get modified to fit the BDE kit...anywhere i can just buy the BDE rails on their own? Abraham
Yeah it just seems the early ones they nickel plated the AN ends causing them to leak. New product, no mass testing, poor guy, could happen to anyone who doesn't test their product properly . There were quite a few people on twinturbo.net who waited forever to receive theirs. But again I think that was the first production run. Current product looks good tho The bde are typeII anodised, I checked with brett Dempsey. He said that if you leave it sitting for months at a time the water content of the fuel in the system could rise and possibly cause corrosion. TypeII anodising is marine grade. Not quite as good as hard anodising but should be fine for E85 The win ones are steel and nickel plated which are also fine or E85
Yes from BDE. You really are making things hard for yourself though unless you play to run E85. That Nismo 740/300 degrees rail you're selling will handle more than enough fuel cheaper easier and tidier.
I'm buying the bde kit on its own, paying core charge for lower plenum. Modding my own balance pipe, upper plenum and throttle bracket and supplying my own fuel rails That's direct from bde
Rob with my build I'm planning on doing it once & do it right...i might decide at a later stage to run e85 so i dont want to have to upgrade or change anything later, so i might aswell get the BDE rails. Ive already got the BDE intake gears & half moon seals...i plan on getting the BDE exhaust gears & low profile mounts aswell, so i might aswell get the fuel rails & have everything off BDE lol Ive got series 2 bits like the upper & lower plenum & balance tube, so i will have to send them in instead of getting the core charge as i plan on using all the series 2 bits Abraham
Yeah your right. Maybe the original ones that were nickel plated causing the problems early adopters had on Tt.net?? Their Website says ss
