hey all, so atm with my new car on its way before i do anything, i want do to a plenum pull, even before roady/spray job. a few dates to choose from - August 29th/30th, September 5th/6th i watched badxtc do most of this, i really want to get hands on and do it myself with a few other hands speeding up the process. i have a list of things i want to do, add to it.- -replace hoses, bypass -new gasket -seal cam covers -clean every connector/injector plug or any plugs possible -replace heater hoses -wouldnt mind blinging it up if possible anything i should add to the list while i'm doing all of it? ill have to write down a list of parts to get before this date, use will not see my new 300 Until use show up so let me no when is good for everyone to come, ill be hosting it at my dads house in tarniet, vic 3029. Let me no whos in, cheers! ALSO what beer do use like?
just post up the days ur available to come and ill just go with the one were most faces can show up, in the process now of getting parts together hope to see most of use there as i aint met no1 sept alex yet. cheers
Ill come along and help. I have just finished my plenum pull and all of the deletes so I know little about what to do. I have done my plenum in orange, looks quite nice with the black. If you have never done it before there are a few little tricks of easy ways to do stuff that I can show ya. I saw your little note about PM for an NA, mine is NA . . . 2 seater though. I want to sell it and get a 2+2 turbo. I have had a lot of fun in my slicktop NA but now im bored again . . . and ive only just finished it. lol. Peace

got the car and a few parts. i got - o2 sensors s2 ptu spark plugs oil what do i need to get for the plenum pull? anyone got a handy list so i can get it all this week and maby get a date for next week for the plenum to be done, cheers
this is the complete list of stuff I got for my NA. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showpost.php?p=802217&postcount=3 keep in mind that i wanted to replace pretty much everything that was easily accesible with the plenum off. having all new hoses meant that pulling apart eveything was much easier... just cut everything. if your hoses are 20yrs old and you plan to reuse them you will need to be careful when you pull it all apart. If you are on a budget then as a minimum: -plenum gasket -8mm fuel hose to replace all fuel lines and do the coolant bypass -4mm and 6mm vac line -replace intake valve cover gaskets if they are leaking -check your pcv valves. you might be able to soak them in petrol to clean them out, or just replace them. inspect all your IACV and pcv hoses on the weekend and then you can order what you need.
