Well today was my first get together with some of the other Zedders of Townsville. A few text messages were sent out and we all rocked up about 3:00pm. Well the Strand has a reputation for hoons and where there's hoons, there's our local law enforcement agency. They pounced on John (Gasit) and did a dB measurement on his exhaust which was 1.6 dB over the limit, how petty. After much paying him out and sharing our thoughts about the boys in blue we sat down to a beaut afternoon steak and stuff. With the end of every good steak comes a cruise but it did not go far to Jupiters Casino and Entertainment Centre carpark which looks over Magnetic Island and Castle Hill. The faces behind the names, behind their cars. Starting from front, Ash (TrickedoutZ32), Stretch (stretch), ME (90TTZ), Adam, John (GASIT). A good afternoon had by all. Next meet is a tech day at John's place fitting a Turbotech boost controller to Stretch's Zed.

well done carl this bbq was the greatest.. to much meat, lots of food and good company.. photos came out good, i managed to take like 100 photos of 5 cars.. i'll post up some photos later..:thumbsup:

I am jealous!!! We here in Melbourne are all rugged up in woolen jumpers, thermal underpants and ear muffs and you blokes up there are wearing bloomin T shirts in the middle of Winter! I was up in Townsville earlier this year and did not know that the Strand was the local haunt for hoons. Seemed such a nice tranquil stretch. The BBQ looks YUMMY too! Don't see any onion tho, gotta have onion for an Aussie BBQ. A nice collection of Zeds and looks as if they're all with blowers in them too. :thumbsup:
