Happy new year everyone:)Quick question about a VT commodore window winder.(series 1 if this makes any difference). I'm trying to remove the door trim but am unable to remove the window winder handle. Is there a trick to this? I don't want to want to reef at it any harder for fear of breaking it off. Can't see any screws or circlips.ps: I havnt sold the zed. VT is the missus's. My zed should be on the road any year now...Cripes... even Chewy got there first..hehehehThanks in advancepps: I couldnt find any dedicated VT sites but if anyone can steer me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
    cheers and thanks

    easy

there is a cirlip just a little bit back from view. you can buy a tool for getting the little buggers out, try forcing the door trim in and then have a lookCheersAnthony

    Special tool.....

..can get one at KMart, It is retained by a spring clip, which you can see, if you push the trim in with a screwdriver blade. Easiest alternative, is a peice of 1.6mm welding wire, with a small tight hook, which you can catch the end of the clip, and pull it off. Damm difficult to explain, but if you can see the clip, you will see how to remove it. When you replace the winder, you put the clip into the recess on the winder, then slide the winder onto the spline.:YD
