Went out with a friend the other night to get some beer for the world cup (Italy VS Aus) so went to the bottle-O.. two guys were staring like idiots at my car the whole time while we were walking in.. walked around the corner into the shop, bought the beer, the idiots were still staring but they were across the street.. didnt think to much of it.. drove off, and noticed the next day that my car has a whole tonne of small chips on the windshield passengers side.. all in clusters.. if I can ill take photo's, ill post them up.. thought it was paint flecks originally, tried to rub them off.. and realised there windscreen chips.. so freeking pissed off..
Bad luck mate Unfortunately, having this kind of car does attract a lot of unwanted attention. Usually from the cops, but occasionally from the public too! Most people admire our cars and respect them, but some idiots will try and ruin anything nice that doesn't belong to them! I came out of Maccas once to find thickshake flicked across my bonnet and windscreen. Nowhere near as bad as your experience, but still pissed me off!!! I'm just glad they didn't dent any of your panels or break headlight covers as I've heard some people have experienced.
Dunno if it's these cars of just some ppl. I mean, I had a Barina as a first car and had the backwindow smashed twice, a quarter-rear window smashed once and some knob dump McD icecream all over it anohter. I think some wankers just enjoy destroying other peoples property. How much do you wish you could catch the guys doing it? I always miss it and just have to deal with the damage, instead of dealing it
Yeah i knwo what ya mean, down south i've had my car spat on since it wasnt a commodore... thats just nasty..... oh yeah ive had my tyre valve covers..the little plastic bits... i mean wtf?!?!?!
The worst ive had in the z was someone stuffed my exhaust full of pallet wrap ... driving along i thought id blown a turbo seal , all this smoke comin out the back ... wankers , and ive caught a guy tryin to break into it outside of work ... lets just say the guy had a crooked nose when i was finished lol ..
Yeah i've come out of a job to find a nice key mark along my hatch. I was working in a nice resort as well and parked with all the staff cars... definately the last place I would've worried about the safety of my car.
Its part of owning a nice car and driving it in public apparently. The very first night I drove my zed it was a friday night in newcastle and I had some drunken looser throw a rock at the car while it was parked and I was sitting in it with my girlfriend, I wanted blood but the guy pissed his panties and bolted when he realised I was going to do him serious bodily harm. Driving home very pissed off a car load of teenagers overtakes at highspeed and one of the passengers throws a thickshake onto the bonnet.... Girlfriend parked the car in singleton one time to grab something in the shops, came back 2 minutes later to find a knife scratch the whole length of the car. And just the other day I parked the car next to a rather sad looking crash damaged barina, new it was a bad idea but was in a rush so took my chances and sure enough when I came back 15 minutes later the barina was gone but a nice big door rub mark was left on my car. Have been looking for the very distinctive little turd mobile ever since so I can have a chat with the owner.
Im thinking now that my experience wasnt too bad.. luckly I have the removable boot cover bar... so if anyone does anything while im present will taste the rusting end of it! Guess its just the perks of owning the best looking car around =) But its shit how we have to pay for others stupidity...
Ive seen the other side though... When I was a young teen I went out underage drinking with some school mates and one dickhead with us thought it was a great laugh to jump from car roof to car roof crushing them in, about 9 or 10 cars copped it from him.
