Talk about Bad news Somebody Hates me for sure up there. So for those of you with the Wings West Body Kits - your rarity has just Multiplied. I just recieved an email from a Distributor I was using that Effective immediately - Wings West has closed its plant indefinitely. This affects me how - for those that care. Here's a quick run down of my last 6 or so months of Aggrivation. Back in July/August I ordered a Wings West BOdy Kit. Went through the same guy (ZisLuv) did the group buy through ages ago. So you'd think you'd be pretty safe - as all went well for Nathan. After going thru the process of placing the order - getting confirmation Supplied with Wings West - Rep's name who the order went thru ect...... saying Kit will be delivered in 6-8 weeks. Well 8-10 weeks passed an couple of emails saying all's going well - No Kit. 12-16 weeks pass - still no Kit Now I can't get incontact - with the vendor. I contact Wings West themselves - They tell me that, That particular Vendor has been, Banned an black barred - an is under investigation. Turns out he did a runner with a Heaps of people's Money - taking orders an not suppling the product. Luckily for me, I wasn't one of these unfortunate soles, as the transaction was held in limbo an I was able to cancel it - All I was out was a couple of months of my time. So Once Bitten - Twice shy - lesson learnt. I Ring Wings West asking If I can deal with them direct, They said no but supplied me with a reputable Vendor In which to go thru. Did my homework - searched the Net - all looked good. O.k - placed another order. was contacted by another person (vic) based asking if its possible to get him a kit at the same Time. No worries - 2 kits ordered - 2 kits paid for. Upon placing the 2nd order - Vendor tells me - mould for the front spoiler is broken an is out of production for repair, Being cautious - I ring Wings West - They confirm - saying it will take a week to repair, will notify me when its back in production and when order is processed.. O.k a month later still no news, an third party person in (vic) getting nervous as paid me up front. numerous emails - fly back an forth. December arrives - get notification that mould has been repaired an is now back in production, an there is a magnitude of back orders to to be made an they assure me, my order is towards the Top of the List. Hopefully should be filled by end of December - ready to be shipped early January. Christmas passes - a few more emails sent - asking for progress updates. No news - starting to get worried again - as Money has been sent this Time. Third Party Person - getting equally worried........ I recieve an email this morning - which just tops it off. Just half a year wasted - of my Time an Heaps of Aggrevation. Putting another hold on my project - that really doesn't need it. Many a time - I've contemplated Parting it out - an moving on maybe someones trying to tell me something.

Pete - No idea at the moment will have to shop around all over again :wacko: IB - yes have a STILLEN GTZR plan on keepin it,I only wanted the sides an rear of the WW, but it was cheaper to bring in the whole kit, an my source is fairly confident that WW has closed business for now Gene - Bummer big time, yet another set back that I don't really need. Franz & Rob - Thanxs guys Ryan - Yes it was me who planned on givin you the WW front - sorry for letting you down as well mate. ohhh - well back to the drawing board. Did some numbers - of parting her out - geeeez it's tempting, it would be so easy to do right now as she's all in pieces - an you'd imagine I'd get more for all the parts than if I were to sell her complete. Hey Trev - that's a bummer, but consider me to be on your back to finish the rebuild - I don't want to see your beauty finish up as parted out bits! A search on TT.Net didn't reveal anything about a closure; maybe they haven't caught up with this yet. Have you thought about placing a wanted ad in TT.Net on the off chance that someone may have either a full set or the sides and rear, and are willing to go to the hassle of arranging shipping to you?
There's not way your parting it out!! As much as I'd love to get hold or some of your parts, we'd be beating down your door before we let you part out 2zxtrm. AB
Not a problem Trevor. I dont think i have the funds for the WW front bar anymore and would rather spend the money towards getting my car completely tuned. I'd urge you to finish the rebuild but I know what you mean. A next gen with a tt conversion. *drools* Depends on how much each situation would cost you though. Good Luck. :thumbsup: Ryan.
im the third party person... and I'm as pissed off as Trev is about WW going under. Just like Trev I wasted so many months waiting for an invisible bodykit. Not knowing what to do now, I guess I'll look for other kits, but no other ones really appeal to me. I was really after the rear bar (valance) of the WW kit but I guess I have to do whithout it now. Its so frustrating sometimes when you order things from overseas that I think I'm just gonna stick to AUS made products from now on. I mean....Yanks are so damn UNRELIABLE....thats my experience anyways, others may disagree. All in all, it was a tough experience and one I hope not to have happen to me again. LaterZ Chris :zlove:
