Overall I'm happy with the job. The front end is still not perfect, there is some more work to be done to line the bumper and hood up properly and I have to get the chrome trim painted black and have the wipers done still. Besides that it's all good now!

When the sun hits it the paint looks crazy, all other times it's black as black!

 

Looks good! Also, love the watanabes, suit the car perfectly!

Yeah that's all reflection mate, the sun does crazy shit when it bounces of the surface of the metallic paint. It's actually really hard to take pics of, my camera is a fairly kickass Canon digital cam and it just cant do it. I had to use the underwater setting if you can believe it so it would show up properly! haha

I need a DSLR one day when I have cash to burn to get it to show perfect, it's much better in person.

 

Take them in the afternoon or on a cloudy day with a darker car

 

In the shade or later in the day it just looks black, which is awesome but you dont get the full idea of the paint finish in the pics that way.

 

that is true, try different angles and shutter speeds?

 

I've messed around with it a fair bit, they're as good as I'll get for now. It will be better when I can actually drive the car to a better location instead of my driveway aswell! lol

Hopefully I have it running by then, I am still waiting on some stuff for my fuel system to come from the states aswell as my headgasket kit. I may end up having to pull the motor and tranny yet, in which case I'll rebuild the 5spd and do the clutch etc all at the same time which will set me back a bit time and money wise.

I should see 450rwhp/335rwkw once shes back up and running though. It still starts and sounds pretty good for a car right down on compression on one side. My new turbo is coming soon too, mmmm T04E goodness (specs are top secret). lol
