Can anybody help with pics or instructions or tips for the removal of the automatic shifter handle please
Presumably it seperates just below the face plate showing park drive reverse etc
I am wanting to remove handle and replace a scratched face plate
    many thanks

Already provided pics and details in response to a previous request on this forum. If you do a search, you should find it!

If you cannot find it, send me a PM and I will search for it myself and redirect you to the post....

Its a complex little job! Don't underestimate the complexity.....have little bags and marker tape so you can label everything and keep it in order....whilst I took quite a few pics - its difficult to get to the detail even with photo's on all sides like I took in the post due to the plates restricting the views, so take pics as you go as well yourself, so it will also help in getting it back together properly!

Be careful and do not pry anything apart if it doesn't want to come apart naturally once you remove the relevant screw - the springs can shoot out of the overdrive selector and gear selector push buttons, so be prepared by doing it in clean area and holding the pressure and releasing the button gently so your not looking for a little spring in a field of grass!

The important part is the tab (red gear selector marker you see in the face plate)! If you don't secure the plates this can break off easily being only plastic when the plates move apart - some rubber bands can help keep the plates together until you remove the relevant screws, cables and plates in order

Take your time, make sure you don't have distractions like kids and be prepared before you start! It will take a couple of hours generally speaking.

Yes you did and many thanks ,my bad
I was wondering if there were a couple more pics in the sequence? showing where it seperates and where can some force be applied? as Im not having any luck seperating it so far and Im hesitant to force it too much and screw it
    again thanks
