I don't know what it's called exactly. You know on an auto trans how you have to press the brake before you can take it out of park, and you can hear that little "click" so you know it's "unlocked" so you can take it out of park?

Ok, so today I go to leave work, press the brake to take it out of park and instead of just doing its little click, it continuously clicks every second, lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, unlock, unending.

I don't even know where to begin.

On an unrelated note (possibly unrelated?) when I started the car it only started on maybe 5 cylinders, first time it's ever done that, the 6th cylinder came good after a minute. I was thinking injectors.

There is a small button type device thats located under the brake pedal, activates a solenoid that let's you shift from park.

Mine was sticky when i first got the car, i suspect from not being driven much, as a coupe days after I started driving it it cleared up.

That'd be my first place to look.

As for running on 5 cylinders, check your coilpack connectors, sounds like a plug fell out.

Cool. That's a start, I'll have to see what I can find on the weekend when I've got some time.

I would add - check your injector plugs while checking your coil packs connectors.
