Seriously thinking of ditching the manual box and installing a fully manualised strong Auto box and 4000 stall converter, REASON I want a better launch and quicker gear changes at the drags. The syncro?s in the manual box just can?t handle the 6000 RPM flat changes; not sure if the new 98+ spec manual box would stand up to it any better on the strip, would hate to fork out for a new box and still have to GRANNY change. Anyone running one of these new box?s and how do you find it. GRANNY shifting on the drag strip is not an OPTION. Dilemma Depends on your priorities. Dosent matter how good you are nothing will change as quick as an auto box, Definately what you need if drags are your go. Dosen't suit me as doing more track days than drags and manual box better for that. New manual boxes from Coz are as cheap as.
ive got a god tt auto you can have for $100 if you want to strip it down as a rebuild.. doesnt need it but just saying
