Been a bit slack this week but finally put the photo's up of last weekend's cruise from Cairns (Smithfield Shopping Centre) to Port Douglas. The day started with a posse of cars grouping up at the Smithfield Shopping Centre on the Northern Beaches side of Cairns. This cruise was organised by QSS and was attended by a wide variety of drivers/cars. We were lucky to have a good number of peeps come up from Townsville and that included a few Zeds. It was great to finally meet Karl (90TTZ) and Alex (Stretch) as well as Sharon (Shazza). The bling in Karl's car is something to behold ! The congestion of a shopping centre on a Saturday morning contributed to a disorganised exit, but everyone made it up to the park at Port Douglas OK and a BBQ and drinks were available. The distinguishing thing about this cruise was the heat. Boy it was hot. I mean we are used to heat in these parts but last Sunday was BS. The 34C temps and 85% humidity gave heat indexes of around 42C. It caused most people to bugger off by 2:00PM, back to their air con cars or down to a nearby water hole for a swim. Just sitting under a tree doing nothing and talking we where sweating it out. Luckily Alex came prepared with a esky full of ice and cold drinks. You were a life saver Stretch. The Zed owners decided to go up to the Port Douglas lookout for a photo op. There were a few interesting cars including this S13 Nissan with a VG3DET engine in it. The owner says it makes around 350kw. Overall a good day was had by all. Thanks to the Townsville crew for making the effort to come up. Cheers James

You bet Tony, I for one would like a tech day organised as well. I am seeing a lot more Zed's around town lately, the thing is we need to get more Cairns Zed owners aware of the aus300zx web site. With all this rain about it isn't much fun organising a cruise atm, but when the wet conditions back off, definitely.
Beaut write up James, really good meeting you. If you Cairns guys are brave enough, will hold a tech day in Townsville a couple of weeks before the Warwick meet and organise it for a Saturday so we can go drag racing too, we may then see the potential of Tony's weapon .
