yesterday i got my audio head unit replaced, i used to have a Pioneer DEH-P6850MP unit hooked up to a pioneer 800W for the sub and pioneer 600W for the fronts which are 6" splits, the really good pioneer ones, i replaced the head unit with a Blaupunkt Acapulco MP54 unit and it is awsome, sound quality of mp3's is heaps better, but the main thing that used to annoy me about the Pioneer was the display colour, bright blue and extremely annoying, the blaupunkt has variable display colour, you can choose any colour you like either by preset or choosing the it through b g r , sound quality is a bonus, i would recommend this blaupunkt unit to anyone that wants a quality head unit at a good price, i paid $640 fitted which for country WA is pretty reasonable, the blaupinkt was over $100 cheaper than the pioneer was new cheers

hey fate...just wondering whats the point of the units with built in 3.5'' screens....it seems to be too small for anything...what are you going to be using the screen for? just interested is all
purely cosmetic value,because a screen that small is hopeless to watch anything,its like trying to watch a dvd on your mobile phone imo
Would be useful if it's a touchscreen to change options etc. And phones with big screens aren't for watching DVD's (though I can on my new N95 ) The big screen phones are for watching photos and using applications on them etc.
You'd be suprised The JVC 3.5" Screen seems to make the picture look alot bigger than it actually is. Even I would normally agree that it's too small, however until you actually see the picture quality and this unit itself you probably wont believe me. Also, you can plug a rear view camera directly into it, which i'm sure most of you would agree would be more than useful in the zed. The unit also allows a direct plugin for your Ipod. Plenty of options with the unit as well as looking the part in the Zed. Fate :cool2:
yeah fair enough...when i get my carputer im having a night vision camera at the front tand a normal rear one at the back...... as long as you ond thave to look at the 3.5" too long and try and figure out whats on the screen fate, cause it doesnt take much to take your eyes off the road and crash

Slightly off topic but... I have the original BOSE Double Din in dash 6 stack player, plus the amp with mounting bracket that came in my 350Z before i changed it. It is in perfect condition, and workes flawlessly. I only changed it coz i got an Alpine deck for nothing so i thought what the hell.. Pm me if anyone is interested, we can negotiate $$$..
