Looks like Apexi (Apexera in Japan) has filed for bankruptcy. https://www.teikoku.com/Bankruptcy.aspx I don't know how this is going to play out but I would be careful about any Apexi purchase, especially in regard to warranty. Together with BBS wheels filing for bankruptcy ( http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/wirtschaft_-_handel/hxcms_article_501854_14055.hbs) it has been a bad week for some auto suppliers.
What usually happens is that the receivers try to flog the whole company off (debts included) to the highest bidder. If no one wants it or they think they can get a better price from selling stock off individually, you might get a chance to "buy the shit cheaply"
on a similair note, BBS also files for bankrupcy! http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/07/bbs-goes-bust/ http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/wirtschaft_-_handel/hxcms_article_501854_14055.hbs how companies like apexi and BBS go bankrupt is really amazing as they make great products...
Apexi is different, I can't believe they'd go into recievership, they're market is definately sustainable.
andymac is right. you have to remember there is a massive Apexi branch in america as well. the japanese one may be going, which i doubt they will, but the american one is still here and i doubt they are going anywhere any time soon. Apexi wont die, they will be around for quite a while
