After going nuts checking every possible cause for an engine miss , gave the PTU a continuity test, FAILED! checked my spare one, also a dud,Is there anyone (with better soldering skills than mine)with a spare reco, that I can swap with, plus money?
Send PM to 'IB' ... he's done heaps of repairs. I've done one & it's fiddly - not recommended. On another note, any PTU replacement must be checked for totally clean pins - clean with vinegar or contact cleaner & emery paper before installing, or you may not get good contacts & be fooled into thinking it's a dud.
