...will fit on any of the aftermarket tension rods? Ive been trying to get in contact with Simon from TTZed to ask him about his tension rods before I purchase some, but he has not responded at all yet, not even to my order:wacko:

Ok then can anyone please tell me ....

...what the difference is between the stillen and nismo adjustable tension rods on simons site? He has the same picture for both so I cant tell by just looking. Also do they come with rubber boots or something to protect the joint from dirt and water? If not is there somewhere these can be purchased separately?
I really need to get the rods ASAP as Ive already destroyed a pair of tyres and cant drive the car anymore as it is getting to dangerous. So if your reading this simon, please get in contact with me:(

    no way they will

the aftermarket adjustable tension rods are much thicker than the stock ones where the brake guides mount up so they won't fit. well mine are much thicker than stock

There isn't a great deal of difference I've seen

between different tension rod brands, some do have a dust boot over the rose joint (Cusco's do, I think Tein's do as well) but some don't. Mr. Trickle is right they can be thicker but again it depends... my old Cusco's were marginally thicker, the Top Secret rods on my 180SX (same part) are HUGE. Modifying the air guide to fit will be a doddle though.

You'll have to speak to Simon I'm afraid as I don't know what difference there is between the Stillen and Nismo rod, and in fact as far as I was aware the Nismo one is NOT rose jointed and is NOT adjustable, unless there is more than one version out there on the market. The only one I've seen is a lightweight silver aluminium version painted silver, with a tougher bush and more caster.
