Hmmm I wish I was going...but money is tight this pay

and the coverage on TV is better anyway. Plus the traffic ain't worth it, and lets face it, barbagello aint the best track for racing.

Looking forward to the shanghai race next month though.

Yeah true, but scored a ticket to the Fujitsu Box thru work

so free alcohol and food in a box on main straight should be good. Plus scored a lift there from my cousin who lives up the road

    V8s and F1...I just love it!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Is the Shanghai race for points or just purely exhibition? Should be interesting as it would put the Aussie V8s and drivers in the world spot light.

    Go Webber...Go Ambrose!!!

    Its not a permanent thing.

Russell Ingall has always supported Star Day - his car was painted like that last year for a few rounds too IIRC to support the cause.

    IB ?????

Does the air to the Porsche radiators vent to the wheel arch?

There must be reasonble air flow for the corner mount radiators? Otherwise Porsche wouldn't have put them there.

Maybe there's answer to the discussion on where to flow the air from our side mount intercoolers?

I have big holes cut in my wheel arch behind the IC's...

    ...to do just that.

I think these holes were already cut in Japan.

Thanks FranZ, Much appreciated - my son-in-law racing there!

My son in law, Sam Walter, sponsored by Andrew Walter Constructions, raced in the Lotus Trophy races there. You have a great photo of his car on practice day, which is great to see.
The Lotus is an awe-inspiring little beast. Uncomfortable, noisy inside, but spectacular to ride in! Try 300km from Devonport to Hobart in about 2hr30! I took Sam up to Devonport when I delivered my old 260Z to the ferry for the 'up' trip to its new owner in Sydney, and we collected his Lotus from the 'down' trip of the SPOT III, after it had been prepared in Sydney. Sam practiced with it for a few weeks here, and then I followed him up to Devonport again in the 300zx as he delivered it for shipment back to the tuners again prior to shipment to the WA meeting.
Haven't had a chance to find out how he went, but he finished practice day qualifying 2nd on the grid. It's his first meet in the Exige. He raced an Elise for a couple of meetings last year, coming 2nd at Eastern Creek in one race, beaten by James Moffat.
I like to think he's got a bright future....
Here endeth the 'proud Dad-in-Law' rave.......
