I check on the forums every now and then and are quite amazed at how much power some of you NA guys are putting out. Someone should be able to beat my time with some practice, practice and more practice.

    Good to hear from you

You still hold the record and have been used as a testiment to how good the zed is (on here and other forums)

    NA 1/4's...

My NA has a best time of 15.811. She puffs out 134rwkw and is an auto, so i guess if i strip her to the bones, have a strong wind assist and find another 10 or 15 kw, it might go close. But my TT does it standing on its head..

    Hey Owen!

How you been dude? What are you driving these days? You still have the fastest NA, dont think I have seen anyone else go sub 15 sec. Oh yeah, I finally got into the 12s with a 12.90 at 110mph in my car.

    Hey dudes...

Nice work on the 12s JT, you now have a 200,000 grand equivalent ride! I've seen your times for the track too, pretty impressive mate. Colin Brodie has been down the strip a few times and I'm pretty sure he's into the low 11s now.

Yeah dude I'm still keeping the skies safe here in Brisvegas but the traffic is starting to suck here so bad I want to go back to Perth badly. I've been restoring my 205 GTI for a while now and Im just waiting for my Quaife LSD to come from the UK. This thing is going to be a track weapon weighing 850 kilos with 105 rwkw. I've got a different new 4WD which I've been trashing at every 4WD park/venue I can get to as well. I do and don't miss my zed. It was an awesum car but it was starting to get old, but there aren't to this day many cars on the road in reach that can match its beauty. Incidently I got divorced too and lost about 6 good quality zeds worth of money and spent another zed equivalent on court costs but thats life!

To the NA guys, I wouldn't expect anyone around Australia to be running good times this hot summer. Its still no excuse not to head down to the strip and start working on your launch technique and 60 ft times. And make sure you LOWER your rear tire pressures so they hook up from a high RPM dump. I found Hankook K104s would grip really really well off the line once they were hot. I would also throw some Redline HWSP gear oil into your trannys and diffs to help preserve the internals. And if someone doesn't convince Jedi to take his car down the strip I'll just have to fly down there and steal it.
Rock on and may your Zeds treat you well

    you misunderstand mikey....

its not the fear of racing, but rather the fear of things breaking..... so whether you or I race my car, the fear of breaking is always there..:)

How many gearboxes have you killed?:LOL::LOL:

You'll be back Owen, look forward to seeing you out on track again

did you hear AZA is down to 62.9 on the sprint circuit?

Yeah I'll be out there soon

but in a much uglier car than my zed. They are awesum to drive though, so responsive with heaps of feedback. I reckon 62.9 is an OK time for AZA but I think he can go harder with the power his car is putting out and the race rubber he is running. NAs lose a fair bit of time down the straight. Big brakes are also a must, after racing with JT, his times improved dramatically when he put those Boeing 777 front brakes on. You're doing pretty well yourself too Fleet I see. I was at the track on Tuesday where they held a midweek clubman/full circuit session. My mate in his 04 STI ran 1:06s on the clubman and 1:30s on the full circuit. Good to watch , lots of high powered cars like GTR 34s, new M3s etc which ran pretty crappy times. Made me realise how good a track package the zed really is in stock form.

mark why would something break on your car if you take it to the strip?

its not made from plastic you know :thumbsup: with 155rwkw, and a good practice on the launch (i can help teach you if you want, i got my TT's launch NAILED now) combined with some good tyres, i cant see why you wouldnt break into the 14s
