    hey people.
thinking of buying a auto TT as there are plenty out there for reasonable pricing. saw a couple of good quality ones, but i would ike a manual one.

how much would a manual conversion cost? or is there any one on here that could confidentely do one if i manage to get all the bits... saw that some manual conversions are done on tech days and the such...

    you comment greatly appreciated.

Budget 2-3000 for a coversion in parts, labour will be about 15-20hours if they haven't done a few. Under 15 if they have.

3k-3,5k in parts done properly with mostly new everything.

I did it in my shed, not hard. Just heavy, awkward and time consuming.

hell manual conversion is really not that hard to do... actually its relatively easy... wiring is a bit confusing as to which one to earth out but apart from that its just pieces being swapped....
host a tech day mate and im sure if simmo comes too he knows what to earth without thinking about it, and im capable of doing the swap... (god knows ive spent enough time in the associated regions of the zed...)

well if people are confident in able to do it themselves, then ide rather get them to do it, and then give them beer and food :D:D:D

The clutch cylinder hole is covered by a plate, pry/cut it off with a cold chisel.
Then spray the bare metal that has been scratched away.

The plate is glued on with silicone.

    me too

I would'nt mind having a go at it again I suppose :p, could be fun to pull someone elses apart for once, Still fresh in my mind too, well most of it.
I bags not putting the clutch pedal in though, I can show you a modification to make it easier tho.
Mate host a tech day once you have all the bits and I'm sure we could all manage to get it done for you :D

    Yeah thanks mate

you will need gearbox, shifter and associated brackets, clutch lines (soft and hard lines), Clutch pedal, vacuum booster, hoses and mounting brackets, Brake pedal arm ( the auto one is too wide), tailshaft ( I got a new one made by Final Drive Engineering in O'Connor for $500 ), Clutch and fly wheel.
Lots and lots of patience and a swear box so that by the time you finnish you can buy a new 370 zed with all the money in it.
hope this helps, Cheers Andy

hey people, got an offer to go halves in a half cut from Kabir, 1800 for what i can get for the conversion, would a half cut contain everything i need for this conversion?

Andy, Planning to get this half cut from canada. Can you check if cessenpilot will have everything what he needs to do the conversion. He is bit confused.

I will take the engine and he will take the manual gearbox and other bits as required. Engine has 175-179 comprresion in all cylinder.
