    :bash::bash::bash:
i unwrapped my SZ test pipes and dumps yesterday,, test pipes were spose to be 3"-2.5" but there straight 3".. now i have a problem..
i cancelled the order on my 2.5" SZ resonated x - pipe as it aint gonna fit untill i decide wat to do:(..
i was going to run my SZ 3" expansion split dumps 3"- 2.5" test pipes 2.5" resonated x-pipe then 2.5" out to my magnaflow muffler tips..

question is if i get 3" resonated x-pipe and 3" pipe out to the magnaflows is it going to be tooo loud or sound a drony crap turbo tractor..
bein loud isn a bother as long as its gotta a deep smooth sound..
p.s i have bigger turbos too

    anyone runnin somethin similar

    cheers
    scotty :zlove:

It's really up to you... I have full 3" with UAS centre muffler and custom rear mufflers. Signifincatly bigger mufflers than what you are planning on using and it's loud but not too loud.

2.5" from the centre back will have better clearance and not as loud and still flow plenty (shifter 401rwkw with 2.5" turbos back....).

I wouldn't think your exhaust shop would have any trouble reducing from 3" to 2.5".

What cats are you using? They're going to have to do some customising to fit cats anyway.

    It'll be loud

and drone like a hoer with 3" all the way out. Some suffer it, but I can't think of anything more annoying.

If you are getting cats fitted to the test pipes, get 3" to 2.5" cats, then into 2.5" flanges for the catback. Won't be any more work for the exhaust shop.

i didnt want to chop up the x pipe but i spose i could flare the 2.5 rear sections to fit fit the 3" outlet on the x-pipe.. do ya think that would help reduce drone running 3" then flared 2.5 from outlet of x-pipe to the magnaflows at the rear??

just dont want that tractor sound when ya accelerating but not at WOT.. ya know that crappy no backpressure midrange gargle fart that cars get when the system is tooo big  forgive the lack of technical jargon couldn really explain the noise any other way :p

    thanks guys

i would contact SZ but there in the u.s bein as the order was through coz and he ordered them from sz and sent them with the rest of my stuff..
too much hassle to ship them back wait around and send another set.. ill just see if i can get my x-pipe with free shipping :p

i could just get the 3" resonated x-pipe and put 3"-2.5" reducers after and then 2.5 pipe to magnaflows.. but i wanted to know whats its gonna sound like goin full catless 3"
