This morning. It was raining. In tattenham st. I am about to drive her out and turn right to the grange road. The traffic was stuck. i am assuming no car is moving at that time.

but i am wrong. There is a red honda civic drive in the second line of the road and hits me straight away.

The driver side front guard and door are damaged. front bumper had a few scratchs. I think the control arm is a bit lopsided. other parts are fine. The car still can drive.

how much does it worth now? anyone wants to buy her back and fix or wreck? not a hard job i think.

should i sell her to the wrecker? where do u reckon? i live in melbourne caulfield.

ouch man, that's a pretty big hit. really sorry to see

it is very likely the chassis is now bent and you will need to get it straightened assuming it's not too far gone.

also all of the suspension components on the driver's side and maybe even the steering rack will also need replacing.

 

Is that MAFI zeds old car?

 

I gather form your post its not insured and your in the wrong. I saw a cop, where you fined. looks like you've done alot of panel damage and potentially steering. Depends it might be worth fixing if you buy some second hand gear, esp panels. there is prob bout 700 bucks worth of painting. otherwise another option is to part it out, esp if you motor and gearbox are in good condition.

dammmm so sorry to see this car gone, has been part of the forum for a while. mafi-zed treated it so well pity its come to this.

get it checked out and if the chasis isnt bent then doesnt look like a hard fix.

well that sucks big time......looks like your car came of far better out of the 2 involved, that civic is a mess compared to your car!

so obviously you need to replace the guard,suspension / steering components and door that have been damaged, and get the rear quarter and sill panels beaten by a pro.....

someone mentioned chassis damage, obviously have a look underneath and see if anything is bent, look for ripples in the floor and make sure the targa tops still fit, they are your big "chassis rooted" giveaways that even a novice can look for.....

i reckon its repairable myself, but wether its worth it? up to you mate.....

 

well, i will leave mel at oct. just a few weeks left. i don't have much time left. can't fix her and sell her in this short period..

got a quote from RACV today, suspension and steering rack are fine. just the arm.

why not just buy the whole car. but u are in SA.

Semi seriouse about the FMIC pipping though, allthough I'm planning on getting a full custom job done.

 

take my word for it... it is not worth parting out.. you will not get enough of it gone in time before you leave...

your best bet is trying to get a few thousand off it whole..

too bad its a 4 seater if it was a 2 i would buy it and fix it with my wreak..

 

I agree, if you don't have time to fix it, don't sell parts off it, more hassle than what it is worth.

to fix it before you leave, if thats the case,sorry to say but you have no chance in hell of wrecking the entire car, selling all the parts and posting them around australia in the same time frame

i would expect there to be 3-4k worth of parts in and on it, on the assumption you can get good money for the gearbox and engine, the rest is just 20-100 bucks per bit here and there..........
