The battery in my zed went flat so i jump started it this is when the problem started . So i never use the z and the battery is always flat or disconected. i always just hook it up or jump start it and go . but yesterday i hook the battery up and the alarm siren blasted for the first time in 5 years the lights or what not didnt flash or show that the imobaliser was set or anything so i pulled the leads back off and waited for the siren to stop. i dont have a alarm key or clicker to stop it . waited about 5 mins and tried again but same thing but car started and drove fine but still cant stop the siren. how can i bypas the alarm and stuff with out running the risk of imobilising the car.or what can i do to stop the siren Thanks Kym
bring it to a shop and get it done properly. depends on how the alarm is set up.. if the immob. has already been removed than just unplug the box.. or even better.. just take the siren out.. cut the wires off and just throw the siren in the bin.
do you still have my number? if not give shoot me a pm when your free... ill clear out my box now.. sitting on 98%
is there a specific wire to the siren i can cut to disable without cutting the whole lot as i dont want to go hacking at every thing
Kym ... i think that Billy is referring to the "speaker"/'horn'/"siren" from which the sound emits ... this should be located somewhere in your engine bay .... to me, the suggestion is to detach/cut the wires to the 'Speaker/ ..../... "
problem fixed i cut the white wire to the speaker and solved there is about 10 wires to the siren and if i cut them all the z would of been in trouble. cutting all would of set the imobileser and the car would of gone nowhere. i spoke to the company that made the alarm and it's a pretty hitech system. the company informed me that the wiring is spliced to a heap of stuff that i didnt even understand. the former owner had it made he could unlock the car and start it before he even walked out the door
