today i found that my air filter had fallen off because the air flow metre adaptor had cracked in half. I only noticed coz when i was walking away from the car i heard it stutering a little on idle (turbo timer on) and when i looked back i saw the filter sitting on the spash gaurd in front of the radiator. so air was just going through maf first. i would like to know what would have caused the stutering and what damage could have been caused coz as like most of u, my z is my most prized possession. and what i should do to check if anything has happend.
no off roading but i did get a dirt driveway. it does play with my nerves though coz i live in a little town surrounded by farms and there is always dust in there air even though you can't see it. i imagine the slight stutering could have been from maf getting too much air but i am no expert
