I got quotes from a lot of auto upholstery shops and can cost me $2,000+ for a nice leather remake of my cloth seats. So I was wondering, how do aftermarket seats work on 300zx's? I've got a 2 door coupe so I was looking at some Recaros or Bride seats and I was wondering what I needed for that to be possible e.g - seat rails etc, not sure what to be looking for if I was to go the aftermarket seat route.

Do a search for a guy name Khalid. He has a thread in the fs by business section. He does leather retrims for our seats for very good prices. I have his covers and I think they're great for their value.

If you must go different. Get some oem recaro seats. They usually come with z32 specific rails. Some in the fs section ATM I recall. Otherwise universal rails with adapter plates made up.

You can always get recaros or bride seats & just try & source some rails from either Yahoo Japan or from a place in NZ that somebody recently listed

Cheapest way to fit them (barring second hand rails of course) is with Bride RO series rails for about $350 delivered from perfect run.
