Hey Guys, I am installing a fibreglass bumper that I repaired a while back, I have had to remove the Fog light setup as there is no allocation for the lights in the bumper. I am having issues fitting it, the bottom plastic guard is it necessary to keep it there? pick is off my FB no tried to set to public https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...80385546.1073741828.1606532468&type=3&theater
Yes you need to attach that undertray. It links up to the rear undertray. Hey there is supposed to be a plastic airguide under the airbox. I wonder if it is possible to show the pic without creating a stream of internet traffic from aus300zx to your Facebook account?
what front bumper are you trying to fit? is it fibreglass or urethane? you may have to drill holes in the bumper to allow fitment of the undertray, and may need to trim the undertray to fit if the bumper has a different front curviture.
I can only see the image link button here now im replying how do you put pics up when creating a thread?
Above is probably speaking from experience, but when I looked around for a replacement front bumper they (2) protruded further forward than the stock and a gap between the undertray was left. Bridging the gap here and there still allows air to catch the undertray and pull it down to touch the road. You have to use something like corflute http://www.bunnings.com.au/project-panel-1200-x-600-x-3mm-white-corflute_p0390161 trimmed to your non oem bumper profile and then tuck behind the bottom lip of your non OEM bumper and give a large overlap to the stock undertray. You can use cable ties or nuts and bolts to mount the two pieces to each other. Overlap so the air does not catch the edge. Like water flowing over roof tiles. Good luck, post pics of the result. ""
because this is a project I will be taking more pics and and putting in details whats been done including costs and naming where\who did the work. Ill leave the installation of the bumper to the panel beaters doing the work, it's getting a full respray as the original paints faded\pealed as well, thanks for the info guys
he is right!!! you can make your own. That corflute stuff will be easy to cut to shape. Just use a washer with the bolts that you use to hold it in place.
