Hey guys, could anyone share some ideas/experiences about where to get a vacuum line through the firewall (would really prefer not to drill if possible)... the rest of the install is basic, but finding somewhere to get through the firewall seems almost impossible :(

    Cheers

Go through the hole next to the battery and pull it through near the ECU inside the car.

Push a bit of wire (coat hanger) through the rubber boot where the bonnet latch cable goes through the wall. Comes out right where you want it for the boost gauge

Work it around the area, you have to give it a bit of a shove to get through the rubber boot, but it works, then tape the tube and wires to the coathanger, bend it up a bit, force it through and you can guide it up to exactly where you want it:cool:

I went thru the hole behind the carpet behind and slightly above the drivers pedals - popped the rubber grommet, made a hole in it, ran the hose thru the grommet, then use a small bit of tie wire/tape to attach a straightened coathanger to the end of the hose. From inside the car, poke the coathanger thru the hole in the firewall and feed it up and out til you can grab it from the bonnet side :) Then refit the grommet into the hole in firewall sealing it back up.
