I stumbed across a whole stash of Maxima air flow meters yesterday in a brisbane wrecker.

They are visually identical to the Z32 versions.

Does anyone know if these are another of those interchangeable parts between Nissan models? Ifso, we've found a drastically cheaper way to replace AFMs.:zlove:

    When you get time

Grab one and test it. If dimensionally the same they should work ok.

All the 90+ AFM's look the same. The skyline, 180SX, maxima etc etc.

They are however NOT all the same. The only way to make sure is by the part number, Also the 300zx ones have an orange label. The skyline ones have a blue or green one.

All have different characteristics for maximum air flow etc etc and are NOT interchangable without tweaking the ECU VE map.

If the ones you found have an orange sticker they are more than likely the right ones. But I would be checking the part number.

Yep Tekky is right ,certainly not interchangeable(unless ecu modded), best bet is to note the colour of the label and the part number.
Z32 afm's are highly sought after by the skyline tuners . there is a big market for these AFm's and lots of these are often misrepresented to make a sale.

If in doubt i highly recommend checking the part number in the FAST system.
