    Hi Guys,
Just wondering if it is possible to repair or replace the screens on the AFM.
If so, I would be interested in where it can be done and approx. cost.
    Cheers

why? if they're flaky just yank em off

Just checking out what options I have but may end up doing as you suggest in the end.

There is a measurable improvement in power/drivability when those screens are removed, so why bother to replace them. This was discussed at length on the "old" forum.

R U talking about the wire mesh in front of the AFM?

i always wondered what the purpose of it was, but i guess that if for some reason u got a hole in ur filter or if ur filter slipped off, it could save your AFM. It is a big mesh though, would only stop large debree.
So there is an improvement when it is taken out huh? tell me more!

There was a lot of debate, and a lot of varying results. In most cases there was about 5-6 rwkw improvement after removal. I got 11 rwkw on the dyno(but was running 16psi at the time), people using stock boost got closer to 5 rwkw.

It doesn't sound like anyone has tried to repaired one yet.
I guess the screens will be coming out.....doesn't sound like a bad thing tho.
    Cheers, thanks for your comments.

Why is it that removing a bit of wire everyone jumps at it cos of the extra kw but anything on ebay is not trusted, if something as simples removing a bit of wire can help, why not anything else
