    Hey guys,
I recently went to a panel beater to get a quote to remove my stock spoiler and replace it with a new one, the quote was ridiculous:mad:. As such, I am looking for some advice as to any good panel beaters in Sydney, preferably Inner west or Eastern Suburbs.
    Thanks in advance.

dude, don't go to a beater for this... of course they are going to quote big, they have overheads and wages to pay..

surely there is (are) enough people on the forum that can do the job just as well over the weekend??

removing isnt too hard, just don't put flat head screwdriver dents in the hatch like whoever did mine first. then there is a thread on here which shows how to instal a rear wing, and where you need to put down the sealant, as for painting.
prep isnt too hard a thing to do, then if you arent confident with a gun, get the shop to spray and bake it with a colour match.. but don't get them to do the whole job, unless you know them and its mates rates.

that is a relevant question good man, but I was under the assumption that the new wing was already purchased and just wanting to be installed upon removal of the previous wing. the thread owner did not make any suggestions as to the need for purchase of a new wing in his opening statement. which led me to the conclusion that purchase or sourcing of said new wing was not part of this hearing and as such was not open to discussion?

    but I could be wrong...

if new wing is in the pre purchase stage. Im legally and morally compelled also to suggest fibreglass replacement.

I'd say just get another boot lid. It's going to be easier than faffing around with replacing the spoiler.
Of course that's subject to availability.
