I just bought a 300ZX. It needs some work......just paint thoe, going to respray the whole thing. Anyways, im a big guy, and my legs just touch the steering wheel. Just woundering is there some sort of kit i can get, that makes the steering wheel adjustable? Or can i move the steering wheel up with some machenical work? thanks a bunch, John
Hey mate! You need these bits!! http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280993 http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280995
Ah nice man, after this kit is installed, how do you adjust the wheel? looks like theres no levers. Also just woundering how much does a re-spray cost? full respray. Same colour. Thanks, John
This will reduce the size of the wheel and make it much more useable for us big people. It sits in a little further and is a little smaller. As far as adjustability.. you would need to engineer something custom.. and very expensive. Respray.. search that one.. 2k-8k ? how much u wanna spend?
Ah sweet man, so its pretty comfortable? When i sit in my 300zx, it feels im to high aswell, im pretty tall. and i was just woundering, can the seet be adjusted down? or is there any kits out there that can bring the seat down to another level
I don't think you could lower the seat with out popping through the bottom of the car... it's a pancake car so you will always feel like you're sitting too high. I slam my head against the targa trim on this one corner every single time, shits me but it's all in good faith!
pancake car? Am i missing something? I don't feel like i'm sitting high at all, especially when getting out. I'm about 6 foot 1 and have bucketloads of room
I'm 6'5" and I don't feel like I'm sitting up that high but my head is very close to the roof. I was thinking of getting a race seat and custom mounting it so it's virtually sitting on the floor as it's not my daily driver. But I do like my electric leather seats...
yes pancake meaning its about 3/4 the height of say a commodore. Sorry I didn't mean you feel like you're sitting high, I just meant that you can't really lower your seat any further cause your behind is practically scraping the floor already. Obviously it depends on your build, if you have long legs its ok but if you have a long upper body your head tends to hit a few things if you drive like I do. Greg.
Get one of the steering wheel boos adapters that allow you to pull the steering wheel off in seconds - that'll make getting in/out much easier Also, is everyone aware that the electric seat has up/down tilt forward/back adjustments aswell as slide forward/back??? Just stating the obvious Tho it took me a couple of months to work it out
