On the passenger side of the engine bay, my car has two plugs that go to the engine wiring loom. This matched my old engine loom correctly, however I now have a new loom and it has a third plug, but Ian not sure where this should plug in to.

Can someone please help me identify the additional plug and what it does.

What's the part number of the new harness?

    It’s an auto/manual thing.

If your new harness is from Wiring Specialties they will have wired it up to suit auto AND manual, as well as S1/S2 PTU connectors, S1/S2 CAS connectors, and S1/S2 air con condenser connectors. You can simply remove these unused connectors or tie them out of the way.
