Thanks Anthony for again providing a truly good venue.

There were a couple fewer Zeds than last time - dunno why - but as there were some first timers, there was much to be done and lots of basic setup work.

But first, an epitaph. My (first) digital camera, the one that I bought leading up to and in preparation for the Gilgandra Easter meet in 2004, and the one I have been using since and have taken heaps of Zed pics died today. It was a Ricoh G4 and has been like my right arm :sigh: RIP. Doug now has the only functional G4 I know of on the Zed forum. (How much you wanna sell for Doug???).

At the Tech Day I had some seat bolts I had cross threaded, and also some seat mounts. My fault. Leading up to this, I had felt the drivers seat wasn't entirely rigid ... didn't get to it promptly and found out the it was because the bolts at the front were't tight, so the front seat mount bolt rattled loose then started to chew through the thread on the bolt itself then subsequently chewed through the threaded area the bolt goes in to. I drove to the event feeling like I was sitting on a rocking chair and left feeling firmly strapped in - thanks John and Anthony, after some thread retapping etc.

Hi to the new members. We were able to do a number of things, like overcome a code 34 DET sensor - 1 mega ohm resister - then TPS adjustement, Blow-up tests, O2 sensor diagnosis etc etc. It still amazes me how much detailed understanding some of the local ACT members have about this car (whatif analysis particularly). Lucky I live in Canberra !!!!

Having said that, the Zed community is still strong. Everyone takes a personal interest and helps eachother out.

I have a couple of pics salvaged from the busted camera, hope others have more. These are probably the last from this lens :sob:

Seriously, Peter, I am considering an update to this
    [IMG]
a Pentax K100D (can't afford the K10D, which is similar but with 10.something Mp), with an 18-50 tele lens, 6.1 megapixels, anti-shake IN THE CAMERA, not the lens, 11-point focus, etc., and according to their blurb, compatible with every Pentax lens ever produced. If I do get one (will be before the Nationals) you can HAVE the Ricoh! Great little camera, but I am feeling it's limitations. I want to be able to get closer to the action, and as you know, you can't put an after-market lens on it.
Bit of a change from my last post re: cameras. (Still reckon Duey gave the best advice... "Read the damn manual")

Who had the bubbled red spoiler ? at ACT tech day -

The next day i drove down to Syd and picked up several bits and pieces, including a totally unblemished aztec red OEM spoiler - that I no longer need - it's still in the ACT- but i'm back in SA - I'm not necessarily looking to sell it, but if that ACT/NSW person may want it , just PM me. :D

I did make good on the offer, but Pete has found something better! It's still a Ricoh, but a much later (and better) model.

I think that car belongs to Fox. You could try PMming him.
