Once again, Judy(and her able-bodied(?) assistant, Ian) outdid themselves in the fashion to which we have become accustomed.
Four Sydney Zed crews, one Snowy Mountains denizen, and the remaining seven ACT'ers, headed out for the run to Gunning in perfect Autumn weather.

Once there, and ready for an enormous "pig out", good sense and reasonable manners prevailed(so bringing the Cattle Prods was a waste of time Peter).

The only point of real concern was from an un-named ACT resident who insisted on performing his Chicken Little routine, by running around and around crying "Your engine is falling". A few well placed bonnet slammings (while he was checking measurements) seemed to subdue him for the remainder of the BBQ, and we are assured by Zcar91 that he will recover "almost as good as new, in the fullness of time". Make of that, what you will.:p:zlove:

Thanks again for another great days outing,
You guys never fail to impress(and just in case you decide to do it again) we will return.

    Lloyd & Lynn

    Agree completely>>>

with Chile's comments. A great day out, we both enjoyed it very much, keep up the good work, you have no peers in BBQ and cruise preparation.

Hope we can come on the next "Return to Eden" cruise this year.

Yep, Judy and Ian have no peer when it comes to gourmet BBQs !!! :) :) :)

btw Chili, I just did a quick ring around of the ACT members who attended today and the consensus was that Lynn had been very successful in tempering your usually high level of enthusiasm (and its resultant consequences) when Judy and Ian undertake these intrigues of epicurean delight, and that she deserves 2 gold stars for her efforts. Keep up the good work with the "medication".:p ;)

I do, however believe your younger brother made mention that you would have found the "splashwear" to have been of use had it not inadvertently been left behind at the last minute. :D :p

As there are 2 threads on this, I will also post the pics I took into this thread. Enjoy the picturesque location.

Thanks for the kind comments regarding my wife Lynn. No doubt she would thank you herself(if ever she was permitted to read this rubbish), however, as this is highly unlikely, my appreciation is all you are likely to receive.

Please desist from mentioning my younger sibling, as he is deemed to be somewhat uncouth, and a family embarrassment(but enough of him, let's get back to me).
I was delighted to note that the Electro-Shock treatment seems to have given you a new found sense of adequacy, and could finally see you being allowed out in public on a more frequent basis(at least until the new legislation is passed later this year). "Make hay while the Sun shines" is probably the best advice I can give you.:p:p:D:zlove:

BTW, very nice pics mate(it's wonderful to see that you have finally gained enough manual dexterity to be able to push a button more than once a day). Keep up the good work, you may improve.:zlove:

    Thanks for your photographic appraisal.

My clear pics are no doubt due to me now using my forehead to operate the shutter button. It overcomes my coordination problem but hasn't reduced the level of "camera shake" that this camera seems too expect and take account of. It does increase my liklihood of actually taking a photo, so I now have many more to choose from (and throw out).

My next task is to concentrate on what I am taking photos of ..... (blades of grass are interesting to only a small subset of the community).

    Cheers,

    Peter

Top cruise... Judy & Ian put on a WWE Smackdown of a BBQ!

The only let down was that I didn't get to tail Chili and see the sparks coming out from his tarmac engine mount.

    Once again dear friends

It has been an absolute pleasure to sit at a table with most of you ( with the exception Chili's usual banter & dribble that found it's way to his shirt once again).

To Ian & his good wife Judy, what can one say about your eagerness to please the masses. ABSOLUTELY TOPS about sums it up.
If only those who didn't come knew of the fine food & friendly atmosphere that abounds, we'd have to book a larger park & several BBQ's.
    WELL DONE again.

It was good to see Tigger again back to her usual self & happily playing.

To my Un-Cultured Sibling, not only do you dribble when eating (hehehe) but it would appear to have spread to the oriface upon your face when talking.:p :D The less said about embarrassing siblings the better.
Lynn obviously needs to buy a new chain, as the links in the one that you wore had stretched, but she done a excellent job in keeping you under control for most of the day.:p :D :D :D
It was noted that you had purchased/obtained by whatever means, a set of Skateboard Wheels that were attached to your Sump. Thank heavens for that, otherwise the light show would have required a permit.
I'm sure Pat's fingers will heal in time, just not so sure about the lump on the back of his head caused by the bonnet closing.:D :D

Again our intrepid photographer has out done himself, great piccies Peter. I've already saved several for my files.

To all & sundry, it was a pleasure to catchup with you again & I look forward to the next event, whenever that may be & I promise to bring the PSA next time.

    Cheers & Beers
    Kerry

Oh Dear, someone has left the cage door open again.

My much loved, but somewhat confused sibling, has entered a phase in which he sees himself in the role of a cultured Ballet aficionado. This no doubt stems from his previous brush with the Arts, where all of the major players were Hippopotami and Dancing Mushrooms.:zlove:
The name, Walt Disney, is burnt into his Frontal Cortex forever, I fear.:D:D
"The Doctor" has prescribed a visit to the ballet (with Swans this time), although I fear it may also include exploding seats(if news of his family ties becomes known).:eek::cool:

'Struth, you two can be really entertaining at times, though it must be very confusing for those as have never met you!

AS to the Gunning 'adventure', what a pretty little spot for the Gourmet provender usually supplied by "IB & J Catering"! I had entertained thoughts of coming on this one (it's only a short drive from Melbourne), but work reared it's ugly head again, so that's another good feed I've missed. Perhaps, next time.

Nice pics again, Peter! Are they from your new camera? And doesn't IB look cute in his "pinny".

    Hi Dougie,
I see you're doing your thing for the betterment of mankind, by not wearing a crash helmet.:p
Well done, good and noble servant(I thought you might enjoy some repartee).:D:zlove::zlove::zlove:

Such is the confidence I have in the stability and handling of the Zed, and in my awesome driving capabilities, especially at only 80kph, that the organisers of the event waived the requirement for a 'bone-dome' just for me! :D :zlove:

Tell you what, though, Chilster... even at that relatively slow speed, the impression and perspective you get of the track by actually driving it far surpasses any in-car camera shots you may see (no disrespect intended, Aza!)! I just dream about having the necessary skills to punt it round at serious speeds!
(Shopping list: bigger brakes (and therefore, wheels), racing rubber, more power....... )

    THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY

Ian & Judy, and all the crew thanks so much for organising a really great day, the cruise, the lunch and the venue and the weather were just great,

Many thanks also to the guys for the mini tech day carried out on Zena the Zed. It is trully amazing!! when you connect all the little vacume hoses the car actually runs properly  - now for that pesky Det sensor error code GRRR :(

PS the entertainment provided by the Chill brothers was amost up to Marx Brothers standard.

    Cheers

    Elli & Tim

    Hi Doug,

Yep, I bought a 6 megapixel Canon camera similar to the loaner I had at Phillip Island. It takes great photos, fits in the palm of your hand and only cost about $300.

Pity you couldn't make it. It was a most amusing time and good fun. It would have been good to have caught up again. Maybe next time.

    Cheers,

    Peter
