    They are also labeled as a poor mans dry sump

    From what i remember johns slot car And diesel daves car both use this.
    Correct me if i'm wrong

    They also sell for somewhere in the price range of $320USD

    If they could be used to create a dry sump I'd grab it, but from what I can see you still have to retain a sump and oil pump

    These retain oil under pressure after the engine switches off. The idea is that you are meant to prime the oil galleries of the engine before you starting with the pressurized oil. So you are not starting the car with dry bores or dry cam lands.
