acceleration

    fradda I've been everywhere man.

    hi guys, whats a well tuned zed with quite a couple of mods suppose to feel like when accelerated from standing start or rolling, never drove another one so the one I have is the only thing to touch base with:confused:

    needs times before we can really say anything. One persons fast could be another persons moderate.

    from what i have gathered, i stock NA can do 0-100 in 7.2 seconds.. while a TT can do 0-100 in 5.1 seconds aprox from a standing start.. but every1 has different perspectives on acceleration with there own rides.

    Maaaaaaaaate, my car is about as fast as my first blow job.......... Faster than a speeding bullet! :eek: :zlove:

    Lot of factors involved. I dunno mayb about 5 - 6 secs for most, seeing that most people have thers boosted a lil. Stock is about 6ish i think for a tt. My old engine used to pull the car in about 4.8 till i decided the engine had enough and rebuilt a new one.

    I'm asking cause tonight I had a great opportunity to open her up without restriction, this being my first time in doing so .From standing there seemed to be a bit of time before turbos kicked in and there is a sucking sound coming from the engine is this boost leaking, sounds sad that I have to ask but I feel she is lacking something:( or just used to the power during small squirts of juice;)

    My TT is only slightly better than stock and there's a definite sense of exhilaration when going from stand-still straight to full throttle. Boost should come on and hit peak quite quickly under that circumstance. The most common things that kill performance are boost leaks and/or being in safety boost. What's the highest your boost guage gets to? For example, if it struggles to get past the "0" then your Z definitely isn't running to spec.
