Hi Guys, Another stupid one from me! - I am trying to perform the ABS diagnostics from the fsm, but when i ground the abs check connector, it sounds the horn.. Any ideas?
seriously kidding me right? - off all the experts on here, noone even comments? - everyone has the 24 hour bug yeah? right guys? - common you know you wanna help me :zlove:
I tried to fix my abs once, finally got rid of the warning light, still doesn't work though :'( Its all witchcraft imo
Whenever I try to use the check connector - it sounds the horn! - got me baffled good lol - unless there is another way to check?
Are you trying to test the control unit itself? No led flash on the unit after driving for 10 minutes?
I was trying with the test wire from under the dash to blink the abs light on the dash (as per service manual) - the control unit in a 2+0 is fairly hidden away right? - have to remove half the interior to see it?
I just went searching again - can't find what i was looking at - its a dam long manual hopefully Ill come accross it again.. I need to get to the bottom it all though.. My front left wheel is clicking too - not sure whether its related.. I need to get to the control unit to look at the led for errors.. - its just behind the drivers seat in a 2+0 right? - any tricks to getting it out without dismantling the entire interior?
The control unit is behind the drive seat, can see it when you remove the plastic Square cover above the wheel arch. From there you should be able to see the led flash code light, you'll need the igntion on to find out what code it is, count the flashes and it will give you some idea of whats wrong check the manual for what the flashes mean. I dont know anything about a test wire under the dashboard thats news to me. The ticking could be related it might be the sensor on the wheel coming in contact with the pulse wheel unevenly. The flashes codes will tell you if theres a problem with a sensor. so check the codes Let us know how you go
