Abandoned Zed!

Strange thing happened this morning.
Went to a car wash this morning to pamper my beast and spotted a 98 NA Pearl Yellow Zed in one of the Vacumn bays.
Thought to myself ...hmmm must go say gidday, maybe he's a member.
No sooner had I thunked this when the car wash owner came over and asked me if I need any parts for my Zed.
Asked him if it was his and he said "No It has been left here and the Police checked it all out and it's not stolen."
They checked the Video footage and it showed a young bloke and a girl parking it there and leaving two days ago.
So if anyone knows the truth behind the mystery Zed, I'd be interested to hear.

weird Be careful maybe the boot is full of drugs...

 

Call the NZ Police...

...maybe by Christmas they'll be able to open it and check

 

say ull remove it and pay $500 then slice it up

Maybe he broke down and can't get it back home...

 

Tell the cops you'll take it from there... and then if its reported stolen soon then obviously you'll know who it is... and if its not reported... yay zed for u... :zlove: shame on the people leaving it there though

 

Is the registration still valid, or has it expired?
It may not be reported as stolen, but as soon as you remove it(without the owners consent) it will be a stolen vehicle.
BE VERY CAREFUL.

BTW, the owner of the Car Wash doesn't have any legal right to offer it to anyone, as he is not the owner(he can charge the owner for storage, or he can push it out onto a public road, but he can't dispose of it).

 

Come to think of it...

...I do require a certain left hand instrument pod.

...the sticker wasn't the current color.
I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, gees I'm an old bugger... not in my 20s anymore. (not that I did those kind of things in my 20s)

hand it into the police as 'lost' if its not claimed within 2 weeks you get to keep it
same princible as when you find someones wallet

his lives next 2 my m8. in frankeston, i left him a note in his window one day tellin him 2 join the club! i remember it was an NA and it had that funny sticker below the wear drivers side light.

Mmm... not a 98 by the look of the spec, if it anything like in the UK, there are as many wrongly registered imports here as there are correct one`s!
