    Hey guys.

My ZX has started to become a tad jumpy around the 3k RPM mark.
The only thing which has happened in the last week or so was the storm last monday, which i got caught up in. My intake is custom and has pod filter near the bottom of the engine bay.
Could this cause some problems? As soon as the water started to build up on the roads i pulled over until it dried.

I was thinking maybe fuel system, or maybe spark plugs. I know the plugs do need changing.

    Any ideas???

    Wet AFM and/or AFM connector.

Take of your intake hoses and check for water, BOV intake hoses included.
Clean out your pod filter and reoil, clean your MAF with MAF cleaner.
Check all your wiring harness plugs for corrosion, rip out the spark plugs and inspect them.

Mine is doing the same thing, it feels like its wanting change into a gear (auto) however its a dedicated "miss fire"

My bet for my issue is either a corroded injector or coil connector. Thinking coil as when it drops the cylinder, its fluttering out of the exhaust. As if its getting to much fuel.

To the OP, I would aim for checking the most common connectors. Starting with the AFM and working throughout the system.

3 grand seems to be the main issue spot when it comes to misfires and the like.

check the error codes. Every time mine goes into a safety map, ie. when i upset something like a coolant temp sensor, it develops a misfire and splutters at about 3k. with the amount of water that came down in the storm the other day, who knows what could have been effected.
