A stock Z

whats the first THING THAT I SHOULD DO TO MY STOCK Z?

 

POD / Exhaust / upgraded intercoolers + Boost Control / Under Drive pully

THen A dyno Tune for 15PSI

 

Take it to someone who knows what they are doing, and make sure it's running properly because from the sounds of it, yours isn't, running 15s and all.

 

Keep it lookin' clean

I'm not sure how long you've owned your Zed Pam, but I'd be getting it running 100% before I'd even start thinking about mods.

 

u cant go wrong with a phat exhaust system!!!

mines a stock Z too...pretty much da same as urs, 90/TT/auto!!! but havent done any engine mods xept for a bodykit

but yeah a good exhaust system is next on my list as a major engine mod, plus increase performance too

3 inch piping with 4 inch cannons cat bak system...thats my plan!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: :zlove::zlove::zlove:

Are you planning on having 1800 horsepower?

 

1800HP is overkill but

just i thought 3 inch piping were reccomended for a TT!!!

By an exhaust shop who has no particular experience with the 300zx, then sure.

By the leading shops for the 300zx, 2.5" twin.

yup first thing id do...is getting it running FINE...no boost leaks, not running in safety mode, get your engine chekt out and if it needs anything do it....get everything running nicely, then id start thinking about upgrading things...

wat i like to do is to get the car running comfortably including a big radiator, nice coolers, a pod, transmission cooler, and other things to get the car running very very smooth and comfortably...

then play with it boost it etc...

much appreciated...ill keep that in mind when i go ahead with the upgrade but i was planing on having it done a bit later on down the track...savin up n stuff!!!

Exactly why I keep recommending the new owners and new joiners to the forum that they get their car checked out by someone in the know.

 

Have it checked over

by the guys at Hyperdrive in Malaga. I took my Z there today to get work done and they really seem to know their stuff (a guy I know at my work with a mint S15 recommended them to me). They'll be able to diagnose your car and from there should be able to suggest suitable mods.
