What was it billowing black smoke out of it like a lot of goony guzzling, pot smoking , unkempt , tree hugging Greenies Cars ? If not i would query them on why you have to present your car , when it was passed by your relevant Dept of Transport and RWC .

Sounds like some numbnutted moron has got it in for you, and being a weasely arsed lamer.

Yes you have to pay for the test, it's about $40 and you can only do it at a few locations, I recieved one of these in the mail a few years ago

Hey mate just been through this. You gotta have the same amount of resonators and mufflers as factory as well as cats.
They will also check your pollution equipment, no test but visually inspect it's all there and connected.
Due to new police powers and a change in law all they have to do is think its too loud and you get pinged, no noise test required. Make sure you pass this as they then send you to the emissions test and pits if you don't.
Another fun fact from our glorious government is all hot rods/ t buckets have been red flagged and they are in the process of hunting them down issuing pit inspections and then de-registering them no matter what condition to never be registered again.

I vote revolution, it's just become rediculous!!

Exactly, hope it comes soon before they got to much control over us, was changed for another reason to make money, over it.

What did you honestly expect when you voted in the "O'Ferrell" bunch?

When have they ever been interested in the Wage-earning segment of the population as anything other than a "Cash Cow"?:eek:

Sadly Chili, every State Government is doing it, no matter what persuasion they are they all think they are above the Federal Laws in relation to the ADR Guidelines . And sad to say but it's usually the Labor Governments who start the rot off with ridiculous rules and taxes, and the cost to rescind and change them is twice as much as the implementation. The rules are usually written by a bunch of no hoping career public servants with nothing else better to do with their time, and if happen to have a car that has a noisy muffler look out your a hoon, if you happen to have bigger wider wheels with safer than standard grip look out your a hoon. It's been a well known fact for many years the cars produced in this country are below substandard in relation too many area's , safety, braking, emissions, reliability, cost, parts supply. So the industry tells the government and the public servants that modified and imported cars are dangerous and too get rid of the scourge. And so the rules get changed.
