VIC 7th Sept, GOR Cruise 9AM

Hey everyone,

Just letting everyone know Mr Zed X and I will be doing a GOR cruise on 7th of September. Mr Zed X can meet anyone from Melbourne area at Bayswater McDonalds. (Corner of Bayswater and Canterbury road) at 9 AM

I will then meet everyone then at 26 Ailsa St South (Shell Service Station just off Princess Highway just after West Gate Fwy). At 10 AM.

Which we will then meet up from 42 Bell St Torquay (BP Servo) at about 11:30AM and go from there. I wouldn't mind going all the way through to Port Cambell and then back through Colac, so that will most likely be the plans for the day unless anyone else has any ideas.

 

At this point, I am definitely down for this.

well were not doing a mountin run at 130km an hour... so i think they can come along with us... odd ones out...

last time a private meet point cruise was organised nobody showed up... as in no members showed up... this place isn't like Ns.com, you don't need to organise stuff in private on here. and if you do it pretty much suggests to the other members that everyone will be speeding etc, in which case not many people will show up anyway.

 

Alright time to straighten this out, reason why I posted it all up is because I am not stupid, I do not plan to do 120 km/h on the GOR. My mate found out the last cruise what happens when your stupid like that, and he'll be paying for that for 12 months.

I don't care as to what officer follows us, they can do what they like because the won't catch us doing anything, and they'll just waste petrol, unless they really want to do the cruise with us.

Also another reason is so that people can at least know where we are meeting up, in case they decide last minute that they want to join in, and don't have to bother PM'ing me for details on it all.

If you simply are coming to speed and race around, you can do that anywhere, I am simply looking for a good day to meet up with some of the members, as all it was going to be was a day that Mr Zed X and I meet up, and thought it would be nice to allow anyone else from here to come

So any that would like to join us, come along would be great to catch up. PM me if needed.

 

bullshit lol ,we had the gor cruise up for months,35+ zeds,not a cop in site,now if it was a night cruise,maybe that would be different lol

The GOR is a cruise for at least someone pretty much every day of the year so there will always be a police presence there and if you are going to do something silly you are more likely than not to be caught.

It is a great road because you can have a lot of fun well within the speed limit.

I am afraid I am out, I have way too much stuff on at the moment. I just felt that a bit of common sense needed to be praised given the speed which stupidity gets shouted down here. (rightly so usually, though some people seem to enjoy it a bit too much)

guys we jsut need your support now. after all this is a zed forum, we rely on members to show a little club enthusiam, and shrug off the cold weather for a great sunday drive.

of course we are not worried about speed so there is no need to PM. as well as information being lost in the transfer. and a further note being thta the day will only be run on a sunny day.

however maybe the 7th is a little close, would somehting liek the 21st or so be better or are me and paul wasting our time?
we need EOI guys other wise this weill be yet another failed attempt at trying to unite members.

doubt i'll have any time for anything in the next month. won't be able to make this one.

doing major assignments for the next 3 weekends and the weekend after that i'm probably doing a plenum pull. 27th of sep looks ok...

just a reminder

i think it may be fathers day that day,not that its a huge thing but i know we often do the family lunch thing so an all day cruise may not suit alot of people.

 

i get my licence back on the 17th, so if your keen to push the date to the 20th i'll come
