Found this on drive, looks like a pretty beastly sleeper if the add is anything to go by, just curious if anyone knows anything about the car:zlove: http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/NISSAN/300/Newcastle/detail.aspx?id=12187824&lid=12187824&pg=1&pp=7&d=0&nv=1&SG=-1490133258&pt=1
i spy a tommy kaira wing. assuming it does make 400+ @ the wheels, that's a bargin. parts required for that alone would have paid the asking price 2 or 3 times.
yeh its a nice looking car minus those gay vent things on the bonnet though id wanting to see receipts at least...
I saw this car yesterday. Its at "the toy shop" auto imports at beresfield. The car overall looked OK from the outside, but has rust on the brakes and exhaust pipes on initial inspection. Still running SMIC's, which looked a little beaten up. The blokes at the yard said it was rebuilt in Aus, and 'has all the gear'. It's surprising to see it here, as I didn't really think much of it as i had a quick look over it the other day...
Just because it's "done up" doesn't mean it will look anything special under the bonnet. All the upgrade parts mentioned can't be seen after-all.
been quoted to withstand over 400rwkw in the past, and as mentioned come forged from factory.. buying aftermarket forged rods would just be a waste.
As an EOI from me, any one close enough to check this car out on my behalf. I'd be happy to cover costs. I'd want to see receipts for work done and a Dyno sheet to back up claims of power. Not too much to ask I shouldn't think. I'm going to ring them tomorrow to see if they can back up their claims with regards to the work done and power.
Mitch mentioned hes seen it... possibly ask him, i think its around Newcastle area so for any sydney zedders it may be a bit far..
Shifter's motor making similar power ran standard prepped rods. JP ran standard rods in slot car (linished, cryo treated etc etc) but bent one eventually... I guess they cop more punishment with regular track use.
Looks pretty good eh... $16k is pretty cheap I would be getting a workshop inspection and asking to see some receipts. Wonder who did the rebuild? And WTF are Rod Millen intercoolers???
