I could of missed it if it has been mentioned already, but on the series II car it has an extra control unit to activate the seat mototrs, maybe something to consider?

 

I might be in pending scholarship and 21st money. Should have an answer about a week after Easter.

When are you planning on keeping this open until?

I've had to pull out on the last 2 at the last minute!

The previous group buy I organized is just about to end in production, which was over 65 sets in total. This should finish next week, so we can process with 300zx immediately after.

Hi Mark,
No issues here. All shown in the Installation Guide I provide.
The seat covers arrive with no holes on the side for the control unit. So, if series I, the pics for the seat motor should be ignored.

Deposit needs to be paid around the closing of ordering. The rest to be paid just before postage, which is around 3 weeks after
3sqm sounds about right all you mentioned except dash. The dash will have another sqm I reckon.

Whats your interior like? Any colouring done already?
What 3 colours you would be most comfortable with in your yellow car?
The reason why I ask these question is, I believe its not your car that should choose the interior colour, it should be your liking.
You don?t have to always go with yellow interior.

extra material

can anyone tell me if it is hard to do the rest of the panels with extra material? Is it a DIY job, and if so what tools do I need, and how does it work? Or how much would it cost to get it done by someone else?

 

No need to pay anybody, it can be easily done at home.
First, take off the stock cover on the panel that will be retrimmed.
Light sanding to get rid of old glue.
Cut extra material to rough size, no need to use old material as a template. It doesnt work that way.
Apply spray contact adhesive to the panel. This can be bought from any auto store or bunnings.
Leave it to dry for around 30 secs to a minute.
Stick down the new material.
Trim to size, Leave it to dry.
Easy job.

 

definately diy for the rest of the trim

have almost finished mine & did it pretty much like max said except for a couple minor differences.

firstly rather than sanding the panel to remove the old glue simply rub down with acetone on a rag, glue comes off really easy, but a warning do not get it on any area you arent retrimming (sections on the doors) as it will mark.

also I still used the old trim to roughly cut out the shape on the new material, just layed it out on the back & traced it with a highlighter (wont show through like black marker) then cut slightly oversized.

& lastly with glue i went to a trimmer & bought a tin of the proper stuff, got 4 litres for $30. needed maybe 2 litres for a 2+2 interior but wanted to be safe. you just brush it on or can spray it through an air gun.

this is really easy.

also half way through installing set of max's seat covers & they are bloody fantastic! cant recomend enough. I went all black with red stitching to match the 2000spec gear I've got in there. photos soonish!
