Here is a quick vid from the Supersprint I entered last Sunday, this is me in the Zed chasing down a Lotus Exige S (the supercharged one) around Wakefield park. I dont actually own a video camera, this video was taken by taping my Nokia N95 Camera phone onto the passenger sun visor and hitting record, the results were surprisingly good for a phone. Well done mate those Lotus handle like you wouldn't believe but not as fast as the Zed. I must say though, he looked like he was scared of driving.
Great drive, a Zed passing an Exige under brakes going into a corner, who would have thunk it? As people have said, it looks like the other driver was definately not getting the best out of the Exige.
The exige is supposed to do 0-100 in 4.1 and the 1/4 in 12.7. They have about 190kw but only weigh 900KG. It seemed to get a bit breathless at the end of the straight when the zeds extra power was edging closer. The Exige should do about a 1.08 around wakefield, this one did a 1.11.91 or about 3 seconds off what it could do. From some of the places you can see him braking (mid corner etc) and some of the lines he was takng, you can see he wasnt the best driver around but it was still fun chasing him down I did a best of 1.11.18, slightly off my previous best time of 1.10.90
That just goes to show nimble handing in a uber tiny/light car isn't necessarily the best on the track driver pending of course, you were dominating him HARD in the straights. Nice driving!

Excellent video, awesome modern technology (mobile videos!!).... was wondering halfway through whether you were just following for the sake of the video action - then, you overtook him!! Zed seemed to be just as much 'at home' on the track as an acknowledged 'cornering machine'... well done!!:biggrin:
Nice one JT as always glad to see the beast is back on the game. I miss it so bad and have had to force myself to stay away as it would be bad for my hip pocket for now. Will be back with a new car next year and in type 4D so unlimited mods for me yippeee and can run hoosiers again or full slicks.
Great driving JT. As you said, it would be a different story if a better driver was in the Exige. That said, taking one on the track in a heavy boat is very impressive

i wouldnt go so far as to call the Zed a boat... lol well i just jumped out of a real boat... VL Turbo.... so anything is better in terms of handling anyway.... great driving btw nice vid. i got the N95 and its camera is bloody excellent. i wasn't surprised when i saw the vid
